Remembering Summer Days

...before my flower basket burnt up in the scorching dry heat these past few weeks. Thankfully it rained a little today. It has been SO hot and dry. And, happily and am back to those citrus wedges. Pinned a few centers together last night to sew on breaks today. YIPEE! Also moving my sewing and papers out of the dining room where they have been all summer, promised to do for my daughter before school starts. It will look much nicer. While I'm at it...thinking about re-arranging the sewing/study room too...hummm....

Those flowers were so pretty, weren't they?

I visited Walmart's garden center today to see the markdowns, but so many of them were just too far gone to mess with, whatever the price.

I did grab a coleus for my kitchen table, though.

Good Jasmine....it's so easy to overlook the 'mess' that we make when we're being creative. It doesn't hurt to have a pair of objective eyes to know when to give us a nudge.

Wish I could help with the rearranging of the sewing area.

Good thing you got a picture! Those are some of my favorite colors - they'd look so good together in a quilt.

Your flowers are pretty, almost as pretty as your citrus wedges. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them. I think one of my azalea plants lost the battle to this Oklahoma heat. I had two, that I watered at the same time, but I guess one didn't get enough water. That's another plus for quilts, once they're made, they are around for a long time. Nita
